I See You Upside Down

August 28th, 2012

A while back I posted about shooting Angelina for the Handsome Project.  Well, that day I also shot a couple rolls of film and put to use an old 1970s kaleidoscope filter.  I was using my old Pentax K1000 (as well as long expired film) and I made a rookie error – when I finished one roll and put in the second, I forgot to change the ISO on the camera – so I ended up shooting a roll of 100 speed film at 400.  It was really no big deal as when I took it in to get processed, I let them know and they adjusted accordingly – but I sure did feel silly for forgetting to do something so basic.

The stuff from the second roll came out duller and with a colder tone – which I’m not sure is to be attributed to the processing or the film itself.  As you can see from the image above, I opened the back of the camera to check what the ISO actually was – at that point I knew there was nothing I could do about my mistake, but I felt compelled to confirm my suspicion…
