Bekka on the Beach

June 20th, 2012

A few months back I took my team and Bekka to one of my favourite beaches in Malibu.  The day started off pretty overcast but about half way through the shoot, the sun made an appearance.  The fact that the light was constantly changing made for a bit of a challenge when it came to wanting to shoot fast (Bekka constantly changes up her poses and is one of those models I love to chase) and wanting to expose correctly.  I didn’t have any light modifiers so once the sun came out, I just had to embrace the hard light.  The one thing I love about direct sunlight is, if you can angle the model’s face correctly, it really sculpts out the bone structure.
